The Hidden Struggle
The invisible prison
of the high performer
Talk therapy gave you insight. You're still waiting for it to change something. The patterns that drive your success are the same ones quietly destroying your peace, and they didn't come from nowhere.
— You can solve everyone else's problems, but feel completely helpless with your own
— You're surrounded by people who need you, yet feel utterly, completely alone
— You give endlessly, but feel guilty or deeply uncomfortable receiving care
— You appear confident to the world, but constantly question your own worth
— You're the go-to person for everyone else's crises, and have nowhere to turn with yours
— You've been to therapy, read the books, listened to podcasts, done the work, and something is still stuck
WHO THIS IS FOR
You are not flawed.
You are running an old program.
The hypervigilance that makes you exceptional at work didn't appear from
nowhere. It was installed early, often before age ten, as a response to an
environment where being capable, indispensable, or invisible kept you safe.
01 · THE EXECUTIVE
Performing at the highest level — quietly drowning inside.
You manage anxiety, insomnia, or a creeping emptiness that success was supposed to fix. You lead teams, make high-stakes decisions daily, and have nowhere to take your own crises.
02 · THE PHYSICIAN OR ATTORNEY
Carrying everyone's crises. Carrying your own privately.
Burnout isn't weakness to you — it's a sign you've been ignoring for years. You respond to clinical credibility, not emotional language. You need proof, not promises.
03 · THE HIGH ACHIEVING PARENT
Committed to breaking cycles. Terrified of repeating them.
You recognize the emotional patterns you inherited. You want to be present for your children in ways you weren't parented. That fear is not weakness — it's the beginning of change.
04 · WHEN NOTHING ELSE WORKED
Three therapists. Two medications. Still stuck.
You are not out of options. You are at the beginning of a different kind of work. Skeptical but not closed. This is exactly who this protocol was built for. Someone who is curious to look at alternative treatments,
05 · THE MALE EXECUTIVE
You don't want healing language. You want results.
ROI, neuroscience, performance, leadership, decision-making — that's your language. This protocol speaks it. The work is hard. The outcomes are measurable. That's the only promise made here.
"The question isn't whether you can afford this program. The question is what you're losing every month you don't do it."
Ketamine has been used in clinical medicine for more than 50 years, initially as an anesthetic. Its use for psychiatric conditions is an established off-label practice that has been extensively studied in peer-reviewed research. Research has demonstrated rapid antidepressant effects in some people with treatment-resistant depression, and its psychiatric applications continue to be actively studied.
What makes ketamine relevant to psychotherapy is not the medicine alone. It is the quality of therapeutic engagement that surrounds it. Many people who have not responded to traditional treatment have found that ketamine-assisted psychotherapy creates a different context for the therapeutic work — one where familiar defenses may be less active and emotional material more accessible.
That is what The Ketamine Layering Effect™ is built around.
During a ketamine experience, many people report a reduction in the analytical defenses that can make certain therapeutic work difficult. This state of receptivity does not do the work itself — but it may create a context where the work can go somewhere it has not been able to go before.
Preparation creates a therapeutic foundation for the ketamine experience. Amelia uses preparation sessions to map patterns, clarify intentions, and build the therapeutic relationship that surrounds the KAP experience.
The period following a KAP session is when the therapeutic work of making meaning begins. Integration sessions within 24 to 48 hours of each KAP experience are where what surfaced becomes something the client can understand, work with, and carry forward.
Each prepared and integrated session informs the work that follows. Rather than treating KAP sessions as isolated experiences, The Ketamine Layering Effect™ connects them through a continuous therapeutic arc in which each layer can build upon what came before.
Peer-reviewed research is available in the Further Reading and Clinical Research sections below for those who want to go deeper into the evidence base before making a decision.
View research →Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy may be considered by people who continue to struggle despite previous treatment, or who are looking for a different way to approach patterns that have been difficult to shift. Medical appropriateness for ketamine is determined by the prescribing or medical provider. Amelia provides the psychotherapy that surrounds the experience: preparation, therapeutic support during KAP, and integration afterward.
KAP is not appropriate for everyone. Medical eligibility and medication considerations are evaluated by the prescribing provider, while Amelia evaluates whether KAP is an appropriate fit for the psychotherapy work you want to do.
Begin Your ApplicationTHE METHOD
The Ketamine Layering Effect™
Ketamine is one part of the treatment. What surrounds the experience matters.
The Ketamine Layering Effect™ is Amelia’s structured approach to ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. Rather than treating each ketamine session as an isolated experience, the work follows a continuous therapeutic thread.
Preparation establishes the initial map. Each KAP experience provides new material for therapeutic work. Integration helps make sense of what emerged and identify what to carry forward.
Each layer informs the next.
PHASE ONE
Preparation
Establish the map.
Establish the map
Three dedicated preparation sessions create the foundation for the work ahead. Together, we identify recurring patterns that continue to keep showing up, explore what you have already tried, clarify what still feels unresolved, and develop meaningful intentions for your first KAP experience.
You do not arrive hoping something important happens. You arrive with a therapeutic foundation while remaining open to what may emerge.
Explore Preparation →
PHASE TWO
The KAP Experience
See what emerges.
The ketamine experience creates a different context for therapeutic exploration. Emotions, memories, imagery, perspectives, or insights may become more accessible or feel different.
Amelia stays with you throughout the KAP session, providing therapeutic presence and support while allowing the experience to unfold without forcing a particular outcome.
What to Expect From a KAP Session →
PHASE THREE
Integration
Turn experience into therapeutic work.
Each KAP experience is followed by a dedicated integration session. Together, we explore what surfaced, what connects to the patterns identified in preparation, what feels different, and what remains unfinished.
The goal is not simply to understand the experience. It is to explore how what emerged might be carried into your relationships, choices, responses, and everyday life.
Explore Ketamine Integration →
This is where the layering happens.
The Layering Map™ follows the therapeutic thread throughout treatment.
What emerges during one KAP experience becomes material for integration. Integration helps identify what is shifting, what deserves further exploration, and what may become The Next Layer™ of the work.
That next layer helps inform the intention for the KAP session that follows.
Pattern → Intention → Experience → Integration → Next Layer™ → Repeat
Across the process, we Follow the Thread™—noticing what repeats, what changes, and what begins to connect.
The result is not a collection of separate ketamine experiences. It is one connected course of therapeutic work in which each phase can inform what comes next.
The medicine is not the method.
The method is how we work with the experience.
The Layering Map™ follows the therapeutic thread throughout treatment.
Preparation gives the work direction. The KAP experience provides new material. Integration gives that material somewhere to go. The Layering Map™ carries the thread forward.
That is The Ketamine Layering Effect™.
No surprises. No gatekeepers. No ambiguity. Just a clear, supported path from where you are now to where you want to be.
A clear, supported path through preparation, the KAP experience, integration, and follow-up.

Physician, KAP Client
I want to thank Amelia and Dr. Deep for the compassion, genuineness,
and quality of care I received. You made the environment very trusting.
I have not been able to write or think for over 5 1/2 weeks. Today I felt like writing.
Physician, KAP Client
High-achievers don't take leaps of faith. They gather data, assess risk, and make informed decisions. These are the questions Amelia hears most, answered directly.
Is ketamine safe? What are the risks?
Ketamine has been FDA-approved and used in clinical settings for over 50 years. In therapeutic doses under medical supervision, it has a well-established safety profile. All IV sessions are conducted at PointHealth with Dr. Bhasin's full medical oversight. A complete health history is reviewed before any clearance is given.
Is this confidential?
Concierge-level confidentiality is not a feature — it is the foundation. KAP is legal, clinically administered, and is subject to the same confidentiality protections as any psychotherapy service. Many of Amelia's clients are executives, physicians, and attorneys who require absolute discretion. That standard is built into every aspect of how this practice operates.
How is this different than talk therapy?
Talk therapy works at the level of insight. You understand why you are the way you are, but understanding and changing are different neurological processes. KAP works alongside the psychotherapy to access what talk alone has not reached. It temporarily quiets the analytical defenses that have kept you stuck, opening a window where patterns can actually shift. Integration therapy then anchors those shifts, turning a neuroplastic window into permanent change.
How quickly will I see results?
Many clients report a meaningful shift after the first or second KAP session, not after months of work, but within weeks. The neuroplastic changes created by each session are cumulative, which means progress builds visibly over the course of the protocol. Unlike open-ended therapy, this protocol has a defined 3 to 8 week timeline with a clear assessment point. You will know whether this is working before making any further commitment.
What if I'm currently on medication?
This is assessed during the medical intake process by Dr. Bhasin. Medication use is reviewed by the medical provider as part of the screening process. Do not stop or change any medication unless instructed by the clinician who prescribes it. The medical review exists specifically to answer this question for your individual situation.
What is the difference between IV and sublingual?
IV ketamine offers the highest bioavailability and most precise dosing, ideal for complex or treatment-resistant presentations. Sublingual (lozenge) offers a gentler onset in a familiar therapeutic setting. Both tracks follow the full Ketamine Layering Effect™ protocol. Amelia will help you determine which is right for you during your consultation.
What if I start and decide it's not right for me?
You are never locked in. After your initial prep sessions, if you and Amelia determine this isn't the right fit, you stop. You are only ever committing to the next step, not the entire program. The consultation call exists precisely for this reason — to make sure this is right for you before anything begins.
THE TEAM
Concierge care requires
the right people.
You will not be handed off to an intake coordinator. You will not navigate a
system. You will work directly with Amelia and with a medical partner with 28
years of experience as an anesthesiologist and owner of Point Health.

KAP SPECIALIST
A licensed marriage and family therapist with deep expertise in trauma, emotional patterns, and psychedelic-assisted healing. Amelia came to this work through witnessing what was possible for her son Kenny when traditional treatment wasn't enough. Following Kenny's treatment, Dr. Bhasin invited Amelia to work alongside him bringing her therapeutic expertise to his patients. That invitation became the foundation of The Ketamine Layering Effect™.

Dr. Paramdeep Bhasin
MD · 28+ YEARS EXPERIENCE
POINT HEALTH
Dr. Paramdeep Bhasin was the physician who treated Amelia's son Kenny, and that experience created a collaboration built not just on clinical excellence, but on a shared belief in what ketamine-assisted therapy can do for people who have tried everything else. He brings 28 years of medical expertise to every IV session at Point Health, where every client's history is reviewed, and every treatment decision is made with his full clinical experience behind it.
In January 2019, my son Kenny stood on a freeway overpass. He lives with autism. He had been silently suffering for years, and he had decided he was done. By grace — pure grace — his siblings saw him in time.
When he was released from the 5150 hold, I knew that traditional treatment hadn't been enough for him. I had a clinical partner nearby who offered something different. A form of therapy that works at a deeper level than words. Within weeks — not months, weeks — Kenny began to see himself differently. The darkness lifted.
That experience broke something open in me. Because I work with people who have tried. Who have been to therapy. Who have taken the medication. Who have read the books. And are still carrying something they cannot put down.
IF THAT'S YOU, I'D LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU →

I was severely depressed and chronically anxious. I tried a variety of alternatives, and I didn’t seem to be able to get out of the desperate state of trauma and sadness that I was in. I felt at the end of my rope. After a decade of suffering with several mental health issues, I feel now I can handle the ups and downs of life without the extreme reaction that I used to have.
It makes a huge difference to have a therapist like Amelia, who understands trauma and is compassionate and knowledgeable about this new and rewarding treatment.
